Sarah & Hunter | Chattanooga, TN | 10.28.17
Outside of Chattanooga in a tiny little town called Sequatchie, we were invited to spend the weekend with our awesome[*newly engaged*] friends in the hills of Tennessee in the most adorable cabin at Hemlock Falls. Guys, I have to say – Best. Views. Ever. This place overlooked canyons filled with trees of changing leaves of red orange and yellow & we slept to the soothing sound of a waterfall right outside the cabin.
…And to put the cherry on top, we were there with NO SIGNAL. Nadda. Zip. Not even wifi. It was the most idealistic way to truly UNPLUG.
Since hills and waterfalls are nonexistent in Florida, we spent most of our time outdoors enjoying the cool weather and changes of fall. We hiked for miles and miles and climbed over tons of huge rocks and jumped over quick moving streams – you can pretty much call us pro hikers. [Pacific Crest Trail, here we come!] Or… maybe we actually just hiked 3 miles with a slight elevation change… and sat by the fire with fire oven pizza. But hey – if you ask me, thats my kind kind of adventure! But our evenings were spent cuddled up by the fire and we tuned into movies from the older tucked away DVD collection. We fell asleep to the sound of My Cousin Vinny in one ear and the sound of a waterfall in the other. I can’t speak for everyone else, but it was some of the best sleep I’ve had in ages.
Sarah & Hunter, thank you so much for inviting us to such a great getaway weekend. It was the perfect way for us to unwind and truly RELAX. We hiked, “bar hopped”, drove European and experienced 3 seasons in one weekend. There was no service or Facebook, just great company. Love y’all!
